Don’t call me crazy, call me mad!
A lot of my experiences were ‘mad’ and made very little sense to me or people around – but part of me is just ‘mad’ and in a strange way I quite like that.

Great video! We’ve cross-posted this on the LSE Equality and Diversity blog – http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/diversity/2013/07/a-part-of-me-is-just-mad/. Hope that’s ok.

Dear Asiya,
Thank you very much for your support and for sharing the video to help raise awareness.
Best wishes,
David
I felt really moved by what David shared about himself and feeling ‘mad’. I have been working as a counsellor since 1994 and I am just completing my MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and we are encouraged to critically reflect on what we think we are doing as practitioners. I think when we stop and think, feeling mad is something we have all experienced and it just is part of the richness of being human. Maybe if we can learn to live creatively with our own madness we will be able to support others to live better with their madness too. Thank you David.
Dear Catheine,
Thank you very much for your words of positivity – it’s encouraging to hear from people who are as aligned with raising awareness and reducing the stigma attached to mental health as we are at the Foundation.
Best wishes,
David
